April 1989 – Started my own electrical contracting company. Specialising in Industrial, commercial and retail electrical installations.

My main interest has always been in the lighting sector and the effects correct lighting can give.So in 2008 I joined MG (a Low Energy lighting development company based in Scarborough) as Sales Director.

Developed the 8to5 Energy Saver and won the Shell Spring board award for products that best combat climate change. Our reputation grew and started to offer low energy lighting solutions to many blue chip companies
Asda, ,Morrisons ,Ford ,Hospitals, Schools, Colleges ,Ministry of Defence.etc

We have also developed bespoke products for Whitbread, Costa Coffee, Network Rail, Salford University.

With over 35 years experience in the lighting industry I believe I can offer the best advice on the correct and most cost effective lighting solutions to maximise both energy and maintenance savings, not only to
energy managers but also to contractors.

Ben is in charge of our lighting design/ specification team.

I have over 20 experience in the lighting industry and I am LIA certified lighting designer. My first position in the lighting industry was in a lighting distribution department and over time I worked my way into a lighting design manger role and onward to today developing our unique lighting design service ReVRlux(www.revrlux.co.uk).

I have been involved in many projects of all sizes and in every sector from hospitality to lighting the facades of historical monuments such as Corfe Castle.

Apprenticeship served with Dixons

Gained years of experience with repa.iring faults /design floors on brand name products [including PAL decoder technology +switched mode power supplies used on high wattage televisions such as the Sony Trinitron].

Worked as chief engineer at Scarborough Automatics LTD. A company specialising in the import and maintenance/ service/repair of the first digital arcade game machines in the UK.

Worked as engineer in the 80’s for a UK based electronics manufacturing company- Displait LTD.One of the first UK companies in the 80’s to manufacture large scale LED message displays

​Have also submitted patents for innovative applications of GRM sensor technology – gaining commercial experience with patent application law. Before going on to join the MG Lites team.
Started as project manager for the 8 to 5 energy saver [2006] – one of the UKs first retrofit T5 battens,The 8 to 5 energy saver was the first T8 retro product to address what would in later years become a major safety issue with regard to T8 retrofit cross compatibility​

One of the first engineers in the UK to successfully work with AC direct driver technology in developing the first AC direct T8 LED batten prototype inside the UK – I have worked on AC direct technology alongside companies such as UVOX LTD and Luminature CO,LTD [ South Korea ].

I have previously worked alongside MackLED [Mack well’s LED product development division], Introducing the AC direct technology to Mackwell engineers, and assisting with product design of AC direct driven LED prototypes.
